Kata

Stances are one of the fundamental aspects of your Karate and help built a good foundation for your Karate training. A good stance will give you balance and stability.

It is important that your stances are well practiced and correct as bad stance will lead to bad Karate technique and makes your technique look sloppy and weak. Various weight distributions are used is each stance designed for different techniques and situations, you should make an effort to memorise the weight distributions for the stances. Some Dojos will test you on this on the more senior grading's.
